R2 may have been founded in 2010, but our roots go back much further.
In 1963, our founder’s grandfather, R. Deiva Thiru. Subbarayulu launched Sumathi Vazhikati one of India’s earliest local telephone directory services. Decades before the internet, he was doing exactly what we do today: organizing data, managing inquiries, and helping local businesses get discovered.
Three Generations. One Vision. Connecting People.
This family legacy of “connecting people” was passed on to his son, Mr. Ramesh Kumar, who evolved the business into a hybrid call center, and finally to our founder, Badri Ramesh.
The Day Our CRM Was Born
In 2001, faced with the challenge of manually managing over 15,000 business contacts, Badri built a simple FoxPro program to digitize operations. Without realizing it, he had created his very first CRM.
From Global Experience to a Global Platform
A decade later, armed with global experience at Sage Software (USA) and Blindmatrix (UK), Badri founded R2. We are not just a software company we are the third generation of a family dedicated to business growth.
